Black Siren Productions (formerly Fallan Maunz Photography) strives to make every client look like a rockstar, whether it be at a concert, family session, senior session, band promo, etc. I push to capture my clients in the best possible light, as well as raw emotion.
I began my photography journey as I was getting my B.A. in Psychology as The Ohio State University in Lima, Ohio. They offered one single photography class. I decided to purchase a DSLR in the brand of Canon, knowing that I would fall in love with this art form. Sure enough, I submerged myself in this photography class. My professor was brilliant and very inspirational. I will never forget him.
I submitted to the campus literary journal every year thereafter, having several photos published; too many to count. Entering and having been accepted into the OSU Lima Hogcreek review was a highlight of my undergraduate career.
Since college, I have chosen to venture more into my creative and artistic side. I have been doing photography since 2013. I have photographed weddings, seniors, families, children, infants, events, and bands. I am always trying to improve my techniques and skills. I am always striving to learn and perfect my craft. The musically infatuated side of me has chosen to combine my two passions for the arts; music and photography. I specialize in concert and band photography. My favorite part of merging these two arts is to capture the raw emotions we feel when attending our favorite band's show. I know how emotional and caught up I can get in a wild crowd seeing A Day to Remember, The Story So Far, Neck Deep, etc. I tend to shed tears when I feel that connection. Those are the moments I want to capture in others. Not only that, I love freezing the energy and power behind performers and musicians, in a moment of time that will never occur again. There is nothing that can compare.
I have been fortunate enough to have had many photos accepted into many exhibits in my hometown of Van Wert, Ohio at the Wassenberg Art Center's annual photography exhibit, with one photo receiving an award for the photojournalism category. As well as an art journal at Ohio State University in Lima, Ohio.
